Specialized in old master drawings, french and italian from the 16th to the 19th century, Artesepia was inaugurated at the beginning of 2004. Located at 40 rue de Verneuil in the 7th district, Artesepia is an active member of the famous Carre Rive Gauche association.
With a space reserved to the specialized documentation, it offers a wild choice of rare drawings. It is a nice and warm place for dealers, collectors and anyone having interest for drawings. A moern section has just been opened.
Georges Franck begun his career with old master drawing in 1993 and he met in this universe his futur wife, Angélique whith who he founded the gallery Artesepia in 2001. Georges and Angélique Franck both belong to the new generation of art dealers. They have been passionate about drawings for a long time. Georges Franck is member of the Syndicat National des Antiquaires (SNA) till 2006 and Angélique Franck is member of the Compagnie Nationale des Experts (CNE) till 2007.
- Old Master Drawings
The gallery at 40 rue de Verneuil is a large enough space to exhibit numerous old Master and 19th century drawings from the French, Italian and other schools (northern etc).
- Jules Machard
The gallery also presents a large stock of drawings by Jules Machard, an artist from the Franche Comté region, who was active in the second half of the 19th century by whom we showed a group of almost 200 drawings during a one-person show in November 2004.
This website is an extension of the Artesepia gallery, allowing a large of number of works to be seen. It is a lively and dynamic link between us and all those who are passionate about drawings but who are sometimes too far away to come regularly to 40 rue de Verneuil.
